PURIFI EVAL3 Mono 1ET7040SA Amplifier Evaluation Kit 500W 4 Ohm

Purifi's EVAL3 mono evaluation kit is designed to enable simple connection of the power supply and input/output signal to the 1ET7040SA amplifier module. The kit has been developed for evaluation purposes, but is also suitable for DIY applications.

This evaluation kit includes a 1ET7040SA amplifier module. This high-performance Class D amplifier features an available power of 2x500W at 4Ω or 2x250W at 8Ω, and a high efficiency of 94%. It also ensures incredibly low total harmonic distortion (THD) and noise levels, enabling rich, accurate and perfectly transparent sound reproduction, preserving the original audio signal to reproduce your music with flawless, uncolored fidelity. It also guarantees a wide, realistic sound image for perfect immersion. The main feature of the ET7040SA compared to its little brother the ET400A is its current capacity, making it stable at 2ohm, and bringing its maximum power to 950W. Furthermore, the frequency response of these modules is totally independent of load, allowing you to take full advantage of the capabilities of this design, even with speakers difficult to drive. For example, you'll find this amplifier module in certain Audiophonics Workshop amplifier models.

The FE03 front-end module receives the input signal via its 3-pin XLR connector before delivering it, once amplified, via its pair of 4mm banana plug speaker outputs. However, this FE03 module doesn't just act as a link between the amplifier modules and the inputs and outputs, it is also packed with a OPA1612 operational amplifier, providing 27dB pre-gain stage or, at the very least, buffering of the input signal. These are powered by a low-noise discrete voltage regulator.

To operate, the EVAL3 requires a power supply range from 25V to 70V DC. The EVAL3 evaluation kit is also compatible with the HYPEX SMPS1200A400 switching power supply module, as the supplied cable enables you to connect directly to the module.
