Bon à savoir

The TinySine TSA8800B amplifier module combines the functions of a 2.1-channel Class D amplifier, DAC / DSP and integrates an AudioB I2S Bluetooth receiver supporting the high-resolution aptX and aptX HD codecs. It can deliver up to 2x90W of power and features a 200W subwoofer output. To achieve this, it uses TPA3321 amplifier chips. DAC / DSP signal processing is performed by an ADAU1701 chip, enabling tone adjustment for each channel. In addition to Bluetooth reception, a stereo RCA input is also available. This module also supports TWS, enabling several modules to be connected together.

The ADAU1701 DSP chip features a preloaded program for adjusting gain, bass, midrange and treble in the Sigma Studio DSP program/interface. A debug port is available for Sigma Studio. To access advanced features, users can program the TSA8802D module via TinySine's USBi programmer. The advanced functions available include equalization, crossover, bass enhancement, multiband dynamic processing, delay compensation and more. The TSA8802D amplifier module is powered by 12V-30V DC and is capable of driving passive speakers with an impedance of 2Ω, 4Ω or 8Ω.

Port descriptions

DSP input/output port

Three input/output pins are available for the ADAU1701 DSP chip: MP6, MP7, MP0. It is possible to develop a DSP program to meet different requirements. For the default firmware, if you connect these pins to GND, the TSA8800B will emit a 1kHz sine wave.

Port for external buttons

There are three buttons on the module which can control volume, play/pause, etc... External buttons can also be connected using the dedicated port.

Pinout:

  • P/P  play / pause button
  • VOL +: volume up and fast forward
  • VOL -: volume down and fast rewind
  • 3.3V

Potentiometer port

External potentiometers (5K-20K) can be connected to the module to control master volume, treble, midrange and bass. It is necessary to update the DSP software beforehand. A specially adapted potentiometer kit is sold separately.

Pinout:

  1. ADC0: main volume
  2. ADC1 : bass volume
  3. ADC2 : mid volume
  4. ADC3 : treble volume

DSP programming port

The TSA8800B's DSP detects both Bluetooth and RCA signals, but the default program gives higher priority to Bluetooth. If the Bluetooth signal is detected, the TSA8800B will output a Bluetooth audio source, otherwise the RCA output will take over. It's also possible to develop a DSP program to suit different needs, then load the new DSP program using the USBi JTAG Sigma DSP programmer (sold separately).
