An isolation transformer makes it possible to cut the ground loops between 2 devices, thus avoiding any parasitic buzzing

This transformer allows to recover a high-level output (for example the loudspeaker output of a car radio) and to lower it down to send the signal back to an amplifier.

Very useful for connecting a subwoofer to HP terminals.
