Thinkya's DRV108 is a full-featured CD player and DAC that uses a TMC688 processor and ES9038Q2M DAC chip to upsample CDs up to PCM 384kHz and convert digital signals up to PCM 768kHz and DSD512. Thinkya DRV108: Extensive connectivity
The DRV108 offers a wide range of connectivity options. It features XLR and RCA outputs on the analog side, as well as Toslink optical and coaxial on the digital side. But that's not all: this CD player also features a 3.5mm headphone output on the front panel, amplified by a TPA152 chip. On the digital input side, two USB-A ports are available, one for a USB drive, the other for a signal from an external device. Finally, the DRV108 is also equipped with Bluetooth 5.1 bi-directional connectivity for wireless use.
Thinkya DRV108: ES9038Q2M DAC
To deliver the highest-quality digital-to-analog conversion possible, the DRV108 relies on an ES9038Q2M chip, handling signals up to PCM 32bit 768kHz and DSD512, and offering oversampling from CD 44.1kHz to 384kHz. The choice of ESS's DAC chip also ensures crystal-clear sound reproduction, devoid of any parasitic noise or distortion. Indeed, the DRV108 boasts a dynamic range of 133dB, an impressive signal-to-noise ratio of 129dB and distortion of -120dB.
