LAIV HARMONY UDAC Discrete Balanced R2R DAC 24bit 768kHz DSD256 Silver

DAC without volume

Reference 20617

Bon à savoir

The LAIV Harmony µDAC, little brother of the LAIV Harmony DAC, is also a discreet, balanced R2R DAC. However, it features an ultra-compact form factor, similar to the brand's LEXT interfaces. Like its big brother, it supports high-resolution sampling rates up to PCM 24bit 768kHz and DSD256.

LAIV Harmony µDAC Discrete Balanced R2R DAC 24bit 768kHz DSD256 Silver

LAIV HARMONY uDAC photo

The LAIV Harmony µDAC, little brother of the LAIV Harmony DAC, is also a discrete, balanced R2R DAC. However, it features an ultra-compact form factor, similar to the brand's LEXT interfaces. Like its big brother, it supports high-resolution sampling rates up to PCM 24bit 768kHz and DSD256. LAIV has equipped its device with audiophile components within a high-end design. The digital and analog stages are galvanically isolated, and it features an Altera Cyclone IV CPLD, Accusilicon AS318 Femtosecond oscillators and a Class A discrete output stage for the most authentic and accurate sound reproduction. As well as its elegant looks, the µDAC boasts full connectivity: USB-B input, Toslink optical input, coaxial SPDIF input, I2S clock input via HDMI and balanced XLR output. As you can see, this little device from LAIV offers the very best in digital-to-analog conversion, all in a compact format.

LAIV Harmony µDAC: Balanced R2R DAC

The LAIV Harmiony µDAC is based on the same digital-to-analog conversion circuit as its big brother, namely a discrete balanced R2R circuit designed from audiophile components for precise signal processing. It supports high-definition sampling rates up to PCM 24bit 768kHz and DSD256. Each resistor in the circuit, with a tolerance of 0.05%, is carefully arranged to deliver superior, faithful and immersive sound quality.

LAIV Harmony µDAC: Clock optimization

The µDAC is based on an Accusilicon AS318 femtosecond oscillator with very low phase noise, guaranteeing uncompromising performance. In addition, an I2S port via HDMI allows integration of an external master clock for even greater performance. This flexible system will be particularly appreciated by the most demanding audiophiles.

LAIV Harmony µDAC: Discrete class A output buffer

The LAIV Harmony µDAC's Class A output buffer uses discrete components for precise impedance matching, to avoid signal degradation and ensure optimum transfer to an amplifier. The fact that it's in Class A ensures constant linearity and low noise, for the smooth, warm sound performance so highly prized by audiophiles.

LAIV Harmony µDAC: Galvanic isolation

The µDAC's digital and analog circuits are galvanically isolated to avoid ground loops and guarantee a clean, interference-free path for the sound signal.
