Shanling M3 Plus: Revamped aesthetics
The M3 Plus has a new look compared to its predecessor, with a gracefully curved CNC-machined aluminium chassis and a magnificent 4.7-inch screen, slightly larger than its predecessor but still small enough to fit comfortably in the palm of your hand.
Shanling M3 Plus: Quad DAC CS43198
For its digital/analogue conversion stage, the M3 Plus takes a giant leap forward compared to its predecessor and lines up 4 Cirrus Logic CS43198 DAC chips working in parallel to deliver a result of rare cleanliness. As a result, the M3 Plus is capable of supporting a signal up to 32bit 768kHz PCM and native DSD512.
Shanling M3 Plus: 800mW amplification
The amplification stage of the M3 Plus is based on a combo of OPA1612 to reduce output distortion to a minimum and a dual SGM8262 chip, providing amplification of up to 800mW at 32Ω, more than enough power to drive the majority of headphones and earphones on the market.
Shanling M3 Plus: FPGA signal processing
The digital signal processing part of the M3 Plus is no slouch either, using an FPGA coupled to KDS crystal oscillators to reduce jitter, delivering an exceptionally accurate signal to its DAC array.
Shanling M3 Plus: 3500mAh battery
To keep up with you wherever you go, the M3 Plus is equipped with a 3500mAh battery capable of providing 14 hours of uninterrupted wired listening, and up to 61 hours when connected via Bluetooth.
Shanling M3 Plus: Snapdragon 665 processor
As well as offering excellent sound reproduction, the M3 Plus is also pleasant and fluid to use. It's powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 octa-core processor and 4GB of RAM, so you can be sure of smooth operation.
Shanling M3 Plus: Excellent connectivity
For maximum flexibility of use, the M3 Plus is equipped with two-way Bluetooth connectivity compatible with LDAC, aptX HD, LHDC and SBC codecs. What's more, it's also compatible with DLNA, Airplay and SyncLink network protocols, allowing you to access files on your local network and play a music library on a NAS, for example.
Shanling M3 Plus: Android 13
Another notable difference with its predecessor is that the M3 Plus is running an operating system that has been updated to Android 13, ensuring stability and compatibility with the majority of applications for many years to come. In addition, as an open Android system, this new version still includes Shanling's AGLO (Android Global Lossless Output) data processing system.
Shanling M3 Plus: LED indicator
To check playback status at a glance, the M3 Plus is equipped with an LED around the volume control, the colour of which indicates the sampling rate in use, or the codec in the case of a Bluetooth connection.
