The Fosi Audio GR70 is a headphone amplifier based on a combination of two 564AW and two 6AC7 tubes. As a result, it delivers a smooth, warm and authentic sound. Thanks to its Low / High gain control, it can drive headphones with impedances ranging from 16 ohms to 300 ohms. In fact, it delivers up to 300mW of power at 32 ohms on its 3.5mm jack and 6.35mm jack headphone outputs. There's also a volume control, a tone control and an RCA output for use as a preamplifier. The GR70 is supplied with 12V 3A via DC jack.
Fosi Audio GR70: Tube amplification
Within the Fosi Audio, 5654W tubes increase voltage while 6AC7s take care of power amplification. This configuration delivers the smooth, warm rendering so appreciated by tube aficionados. The GR70 delivers up to 300mW of power on its headphone outputs. Furthermore, the LO-Z setting accommodates low-impedance headphones from 16Ω to 120Ω, while the HI-Z setting drives headphones from 120Ω to 300Ω.
Fosi Audio GR70: Preamplifier feature
Fosi Audio has equipped its GR70 with an RCA output, enabling it to be used as a preamplifier with active speakers or a power amplifier, for example. This makes it easy to integrate the GR70 into a more complete Hi-Fi system.
