The E8x8 PRE audio interface from Topping Professional is an excellent device, designed for musicians and audio professionals. As usual, Topping offers a very high level of performance for perfectly transparent recording and playback of your audio tracks.
The comprehensive E8x8 PRE audio interface offers, as its name suggests, 8 analog inputs and 8 analog outputs, complemented by two USB ports, two headphone outputs and two optical outputs. The interface integrates 8 ultra-linear microphone preamplifier modules, two NFCA-LE headphone amplifiers and supports sampling rates up to 24bit 96kHz.
Topping E8x8 PRE: ultra-linear microphone preamplifier modules
The Topping E8x8 PRE is equipped with eight ultra-linear microphone preamplifier modules developed by the brand, with an input noise of just -130.5dBu. Even at its maximum volume level, the E8x8 PRE can maintain a very low noise floor, ensuring that every detail of your recording is perfectly captured. This ultra-linear architecture ensures that the audio signal is transmitted with sufficient precision for a perfectly clear and transparent recording.
Topping E8x8 PRE: Phantom power supply
Equipped with 48V phantom power and a switch to activate or deactivate phantom power for each of the four inputs, the Topping E8x8 PRE is perfectly compatible with condenser and dynamic microphones.
Topping E8x8 PRE: Low-noise voltage module
Topping's unique LNRD module provides a stable reference power level for the AD/DA converter chip, unleashing the chip's full potential for high-purity audio transmission.
Topping E8x8 PRE: two high-performance headphone amplifiers
With a noise floor of just 0.9uVrms and an output impedance of 1Ω, the Topping E8x8 PRE's NFCA-LE headphone amplifier modules enable the use of high-sensitivity headphones without distortion and noise.
The Topping E8x8 PRE offers two gain settings, high gain up to +17dBu and 2x580mW output power at 32Ω. The combination of this high gain and significant output power means that the Topping E8x8 PRE can easily accompany professional headphones with high impedance, up to 600Ω.
The E8x8 PRE is also equipped with two headphone outputs, each of which can be independently monitored and adjusted via the Topping Professional Control Center software and dedicated volume knobs.
Topping E8x8 PRE: zero-latency monitoring
The zero-latency design allows audio effects to be monitored in real time during recording or mixing, for improved productivity.
Topping E8x8 PRE: analog volume control and wide dynamic range
The volume knobs on the line and headphone outputs use an analog potentiometer, offering excellent precision for easy sound level control. Line outputs have a dynamic range of 127dB, headphone outputs 132dB.
Topping E8x8 PRE: Independent mixers
Equipped with three 16-channel input mixers, the E8x8 PRE allows easy adjustment and control of audio effects. In addition, its 8 DAW channels and 6 LoopBack channels are designed to adapt to different recording, mixing and playback needs.

Topping E8x8 PRE: high-resolution audio
The Topping E8x8 PRE adopts an excellent USB XMOS interface, compatible with Windows, Mac, iOS and Android operating systems in particular. This supports high-resolution audio streams for recording and playback, up to PCM 24bit 96kHz.
Furthermore, all four inputs are evenly mixed, enabling greater compatibility with mobile devices.
Topping E8x8 PRE: Dual USB-C ports
The Topping E8x8 PRE uses USB-C connectivity for data transmission and power supply. We recommend connecting the auxiliary power connector if the E8x8 PRE is used in conjunction with a desktop computer, or if 48V phantom power is required, to avoid interference. An external power supply is also recommended when the sound card is used with a smartphone.
Topping E8x8 PRE: Two optical outputs
The E8x8 PRE's two Toslink optical outputs (SPDIF/ADAT) are capable of delivering up to 24bit 96kHz. The audio content to be output via the Toslink ports can be precisely selected to provide greater flexibility and interface extension scenarios.
Topping E8x8 PRE: Independent clock output
The clock output on BNC connector allows multiple devices to be coupled by synchronizing the clock signal, thus reducing jitter and improving sound quality.
