Amanero COMBO384SE
VA variant of the excellent USB to I2S Amanero interface, this version Combo384SE also incorporates a bidirectional S/PDIF WM8804 interface that can function as input or output according to the needs of your project.
Associated with a DAC with I2S input, this module makes it possible to create a complete audio device capable of reading audio streams from a digital source (PC Mac or Linux) with a 75 ohm SPDIF connector for additional input / output.
The SPDIF / USB and I2S circuits are isolated by capacitors to avoid any leakage and interference between each digital stage.
USB & S/PDIF to I2S
In its RX configuration, the S / PDIF interface functions as a digital input. The Amanero Combo384SE module offer a high-quality i2S output from a USB source (Windows / Mac / Linux machine) as well as a 75 ohm S/PDIF source (TV, CD player, game console. ..etc.).
The USB input allows support for DSD signals up to DSD512 and PCM streams up to 384Khz.
Note that the output of the SPDIF interface is not connected to the USB connector. It is therefore not possible to use this module to send SPDIF stream to USB.
USB to I2S & S/PDIF
In its TX configuration, the S / PDIF interface functions as a digital output. The Amanero Combo384SE module allows you to take advantage of an i2S output and an S/PDIF output from a USB source (Windows / Mac / Linux machine).
Please note, in this configuration the S/PDIF output is configured to mute automatically when the sampling rate of the digital stream exceeds S/PDIF standard.(192kHz). The same goes for DSD streams.
