Reclocker SPDIF Module Optical Coaxial Galvanic Insulation 24bit 192kHz

This Audiophonics DIGIRescue reclocker module has been designed in association with Ian Canada. Using a high-precision local clock and Ian Canada's discrete reclocking technology, it perfectly resynchronizes S/PDIF signals to achieve very low jitter. The result is a sound reproduction of an incredible clarity and precision. The module features both optical Toslink and coaxial input and output connections, supporting sampling rates up to 192kHz. It also supports Dolby Digital and DTS audio formats. An automatic signal detection function automatically locks the active input, with status LEDs indicating the latter.
Most consumer devices, such as TV sets, set-top boxes or consoles, but also many audio devices such as DACs or CD players, can feature SPDIF outputs. However, these can suffer from poor signal transmission quality due to high jitter. The Audiophonics DIGIRescue, with its high-precision clock and circuitry, resynchronizes the signals to ensure optimum, error-free transmission quality and clear sound reproduction.
The module benefits from a meticulously optimized overall architecture, based on high-end components. With its high-performance power supply filtering networks (organic polymer/MLCC capacitors totaling 1500µF) and ultra-low-noise LDO, the Audiophonics DIGIRescue is capable of delivering a clean, stable electrical signal to all its circuits. Optical and coaxial inputs and outputs benefit from galvanic isolation to protect the signal from unwanted interference.
In short, the Audiophonics DIGIRescue acts as reclocker, galvanic isolator and EMI/RFI filter, performing each of these tasks effectively.
Key features:
- Reclocks S/PDIF signals using a local audio clock with very low jitter.
- Improves S/PDIF signal quality or corrects poor-quality S/PDIF signals while isolating them.
- Two inputs: Coaxial and Optical Toslink.
- Two outputs: Coaxial and Optical Toslink.
- Standard 5VDC power supply via USB-C.
- Automatic detection and selection of input signals.
- Supports sampling rates up to 24bit 192kHz.
- Two bi-color LEDs indicate the selected input signal and the S/PDIF signal lock status.
Using the Audiophonics DIGIRescue module
- Connect a 5VDC power supply to the module via its USB-C connector (J4). Status LED D3 lights up green. The Coaxial input is selected by default.
- Connect a DAC to either the coaxial output (J3) or the optical output (U6) of the module.
- Connect an audio source to either the module's coaxial input (J1) or optical input (U5).
When using the module's coaxial input, when a valid digital audio signal is locked, the color of LED D3 changes to blue. The DAC connected to the module will then receive the audio signal received by the module on its coaxial input.
When using the module's optical input, if a signal is detected, the optical input is automatically selected. LED D2 then lights up. When a valid digital audio signal is latched, the color of LED D2 changes to blue. The DAC connected to the module will then receive the audio signal on its optical input.
