The Denafrips Thallo is a totally discrete, balanced power amplifier, benefiting from a particularly well-designed Class AB architecture. This is an improved version of the brand's Hyperion model. The Thallo is capable of delivering 2x120W into 8Ω or 2x220W into 4Ω, while offering magnificent musicality and dynamics. Each channel is equipped with 4 pairs of output transistors.
In addition to its robust Class AB amplifier stage, the Denafrips Thallo features an extensive power supply stage. This includes a large, custom-built 600VA shielded toroidal transformer, 36 high-capacity capacitors (200400µF) and a fast-switching schottky diode. Together, they provide the amplifier circuit with a clean, stable and more than adequate electrical signal.
Denafrips power amplifiers are symmetrical. Please do not connect the amplifier's speaker output to the high-level input of a subwoofer. Such a connection could potentially damage the amplifier.
