This power supply switching module automatically switches an amplifier on and off when the module receives an audio signal with a level above 500mV. So, when the audio input detects a corresponding signal, the module's relay closes immediately and the amplifier switches on. Conversely, if no signal is received on the audio input, the relay switches again and the amplifier switches off automatically after about 90 seconds. A two-pin connector also allows integration of an external bistable switch button (not supplied) to force the amplifier to switch on.

Trigger threshold at -36dB. Can be increased by adding a 4.7k resistor between pin 1 and pin 2 of the 2072 IC.
