This device is installed directly after a power amplifier or integrated amplifier. It has two outputs and each can be connected to a (passive) speakers set .
A toggle switch on the front panel selects the active output. The function is to alternate speakers without having to redo the connections. In other words, it allows alternating speakers while benefiting from a fixed installation with permanent cable connections. It means many possibilities to test several speakers, make your versatile sound-installation ... etc.
Simple and effective circuit
The device's internal wirings are robust and reliable. Silver-plated OFC 2.5mm² conductor ensure a clean and clear signal on input as well as output.
The ON / ON switch in charge of selecting the target speaker is an electronic component designed for high powers (10A 250VAC) tolerance.
The device is mounted on soft rubber stands to reduce vibration and scratches on the housing.
Quality speaker terminals
This selector has one input and two outputs, all of them are gold plated speaker terminals.
Even if this configuration needs 12 connectors, the wiring of the device has been thoroughly done to allow the device to stay small and easy to install.
Because of the many connectors and to avoid false contacts and signal loss of any kind, this speaker selector embarks qualitative terminals, fully removable, compatible with bananas plugs and easy to wire, even when using bare wire.
Reversible switch
By its construction, the audio selector can be used in both directions.
That is to say, one can use the device for connecting an amplifier to two sets of speakers used in alterance (conventional use).
However the opposite is also possible: connect two amplifiers in a single speaker system. In such a configuration, the switch will determine which of the two amplifier is active.
In one way or another, this type of device does not exempt the usual precautions when it comes to the use of an amplifier and one (or more speakers). It is imperative to put off all concerned devices before switching anything.
Two sizes available
Depending on the needs of your installation this audio selector comes in two sizes.
The larger sized one has larger terminals that can accept a larger contact surface in the case of using a high-precision cable.
However, the smaller size (the one we are now discussing) has exactly the same functions while being significantly more compact.
