This interface module takes an I2S signal as input and outputs it as SPDIF on a Toslink optical or coaxial connector, or as analog on a stereo RCA. The card is also equipped with a DAC with its ESS ES9038Q2M chip, allowing it to convert the signal from digital to analog for this last output, while promoting a precise and clear sound reproduction. The I2S input of the module supports high resolution streams up to PCM 32bit 384kHz and DSD512. The SPDIF outputs support PCM sampling rates up to 24bit 192kHz as well as DSD DoP up to DSD128 for coaxial and DSD64 for optical.
Jumper settings
The module features different jumpers that can be used to make certain settings regarding output formats, filters and volume control. The tables below detail the different possibilities.
