Volume control with potentiometer, display and remote control
This comprehensive module is ideal to easily add a modern and intuitive control volume to your DIY contructions.
It functions as a voltage divider with many internal resistors. Its volume accuracy reaches 1dB.
The module comes with a range of accessories which have been selected and configured to work with. A two-digit display indicating the volume level, with appropriate wiring for connecting said screen, a rotary potentiometer already mounted on the PCB and even an infra-red remote control.
Easy installation
The potentiometer dedicated to volume control comes alreay installed on the PCB. This is a conventional rotary potentiometer with nut mounting directly on a device's facade.
All inputs and outputs are already equipped with appropriate connectors. There are input / output terminals for the left / right channels, one is dedicated to power supply and another terminal allow to use another infrared receiver if the one that is provided does not suit your needs.
A six-way XH2.54mm connector is in charge of interconnecting with the digital display that comes with the module. The cable for this purpose is supplied as well.
Digital display
A LED digital display comes with the module. It is mounted on a separate PCB to facilitate the integration of all types and in various housings.
Depending on the position of the potentiometer and the state of the voltage divider, the volume will be displayed on a scale starting from 0 tol 79.
The state zero means the device is muted.
Remote control
A remote is provided with the module.
It allows to operate remotely the following aspects: volume up,volume down and mute the unit.
The remote control communicates with an infrared receiver which is mounted on the front display PCB. It allows a very user-friendly installation since the receiver I / R is set default near the display.
However, one can use the remote control without using the display. Indeed, another infrared input is to be found on the main PCB. Similarly, the terminals are already provided for this purpose.
